I think you’re right. However i think there is justification for people like me not to like Apple. I couldn’t really give a sh@t about the brand or the level of technology. I want a phone I can make calls on take ok photos on, and access the internet on.
I don’t need to update it every 2 years.
However, what i have, thanks to apple, is a phone that is programmed to deteriorate, and will ultimately become obsolete so i have to buy a new one, not because it couldn’t work, but because Apple make it impossible to work.
I have a fantastic collection of music on I tunes. Due to various updates, ipods being last decade’s technology, the removal of i tunes etc, it is looking inevitable that I will have to start again.
No sooner has Apple released one product and the next is there, the shelf life of the previous is limited. Does my head in.
I know other tech companies are bad but Apple really take the p#ss.
Eldest daughter just got a huwawei phone. She loves it. Hoping the penny drops with her sister soon.

In my opinion, you would have to go a long way to better any equipment
    manufactured by Bose. Top gear.

I’m still on iPhone 7 and don’t feel the need to upgrade. Happy with my sim only deal. I’ve never really used iTunes though other than backing up my phone before I upgraded iCloud storage. The few times I’ve used it for music with kids iPods I found it not very user friendly. I’ve used Spotify since the first month it started so never filled my phone with music.

Agree it is pricey, but I rate it. Having said that, there might be summat up
with my tabs. All the best to you and yours D-R and to everyone on the BBS
    for 2020 and beyond.
