RE: Some of us had no choice but to watch at home Yes and i agree with that due to where you live or work commitments
But there others that just stayed at home cos it was on Sky and wouldn't pay £25, and have said on here that they won't

RE: Some of us had no choice but to watch at home I'll tell you what the point is, Barnsley were playing Man Utd and some of the people of Barnsley who pay council tax and have 2 million pounds vested interest in the ground didn't get a chance to get in because the idiots who run Barnsley FC gave the away team over 7,000 tickets.
RE: Some of us had no choice but to watch at home That's right but many others would have liked to have gone, I had people asking me if I could get tickets but I could only get my own.
RE: Some of us had no choice but to watch at home Complete and utter B*ll*cks - you were complaining in your original post that there were 3,000 empty seats. Anyone who really wanted a ticket could have got one up to 5pm today.
RE: Some of us had no choice but to watch at home How could you have got one? They weren't on general sale, the only way you could have got one was with a ticket stub from a previous home game.
Or be on the database and have bought a ticket from the box office in the last 5 years You could buy a ticket for Doncaster or Bristol and then get a ticket for the Man U game I really dont think anyone who wanted to go who had any genuine connection with the club would have failed to get a ticket And if the tickets had been really on general sale Man U fans would have been mixed in our end
RE: Or be on the database How else do you get people interested in the club then? It'll be if I can't go down to see em play Man U, I'm not goin down to see em play Donny, f##k em.
RE: Or be on the database They knew it was a case of going to another home game to ensure they got a Man U ticket. Plus like Farnham suggested, it prevented hordes of United fans in our end
I know a barnsley bloke whos son asked to go to the match so he went to the club to buy 4 tickets (make a family do of it), the dad has no interest in football but for the kids it was to be their first match and obviously at least one parent would have to take them if they decided to go again. Obviously wasnt on the database so got turned away from the box office yesterday. £80 turned away and no possibility of them returning anytime soon. ps, barnsley postcode and proof of address could easily have been provided.
For me they should've been offering family tickets for Barnsley fans in the North Stand instead of letting the Manc scum wreck the place. And as you say postcode etc could have been provided and not many Yobbo's take their kids to the match.
What's it got to do with a large crowd? There could have been 3 people there, those three that ran on, and they'd still have run on.
