nearer the time Motorpoint Arena usually release more tickets ...... could even be the week of the gig ...
They should be doing more than 9 dates, imo. I know a lot of people have been left disappointed, and I only managed to get tickets by going through pre-sale on Wednesday.
buy yourself a cheap guitar learn two chords play said chords for an hour just like watching them live
If someone gave me £100 to go and watch them I'd have to turn it down. The most over rated band since Oasis. Probably a bit shitter actually.
I share your frustration I really do, had a mate trying for me bang on 9 for 30 mins. Zero tickets. I agree with what Kempes said, it's an absolute scandal and has been for nearly 6 years now. Within minutes ebay is flooded with sellers from Surrey to Carlisle. These people are total cun*s no others words. It's time someone in parliament acted and made it illegal to sell tickets at higher than the inflated price, it's a total joke. Me and my mate have now take to hitting Europe for gig/city breaks. In last 7 days I've been to Amsterdam to watch Kasabian at a small venue and Springsteen in Paris. Yeah I spend **** loads more money, but it's not going into someone's pocket, we are getting cool city breaks out of it and a fantastic gig as well. It's the way forward for us, loving it. I've seen Monkeys 3 times and they are good, liking new tunes, they lack a bit of charisma and not in same league as the Boss for getting a crowd going but a solid band with great guitar tunes. I now look back at last years free Coachella festival when I saw them at tea time for memories coz I doubt we'll be scoring tickets on British soil anytime soon. You know what my biggest beef is, the time tickets go on sale. 9 o ****ing clock on working day!!!!! Sorry concert promoters I have a thing called a job. I remember in the mid 90's all tickets would go on sale for big gigs at 9am Saturday morning, no tinterweb, either in person or on blower. Never failed for Oasis tickets. If its any consolation keep an eye on ebay, I had two Heaton Park tickets for Roses that I sold at face value to a delighted young couple,,gotta practice what you preach.
i just don't get the attraction of watching a band in a big shed with 20,000 other people. that just isn't a gig to me. still, each to their own
Their debut album was quality, as was the Kaiser Chiefs effort. Both good on CD. Both garbage live. Just my opinion though.
It's his opinion, though. I happen to agree that the Arctic Monkeys are overrated. Massively (they're Wednesdayites so it makes sense). But I disagree on Oasis. I bought every single, as a youth. Was obsessed I was. In their pomp, they were awesome live. Then blink-182 came into my life and the rest is history. But there's proof of 'opinions' if ever it was needed - 99% of music lovers on here would hate blink, totally not 'get' it and say they're *****. And I wouldn't argue with them. Music isn't like football. You can argue a case for a certain player due to their ability etc. Music is a personal thing. But I will reserve the right to call anyone a lovely person, who says One Erection and Beeber or whatever it's called is 'music'. Cos it int.
Sadly life's not fair, quite often it's "who you know"...Luckily I know someone from Barnsley College who knew Turner and Helder whilst they were there...
