How about, hold the record for attendance at a gig at Glastonbury, 120,000 people. Thats 12,500 more than attended Oasis in 1995.
Don't even bother tomi the facts speak for themselves LEONA LEWIS HAS THE FASTEST SELLING DEBUT ALBUM OF ALL TIME.F A C T.</p> AND OASIS ARE STREETS AHEAD OF THEM DEE DARS WHEN IT COMES TO QUALITY. 3 GOOD ALBUMS AT LEAST IS BETTER THAN ONE AVERAGE ONE (THAT SOLD A FEW)</p>
That was a record for the festival not Arctic Monkeys you fool? did the canvas everyone as to which band they bought a ticket to see?
And Oasis did 250,000 in 2 days at knebworth in 90s And probably still could. Arctic monkeys would struggle to fill Don Valley
Actually, What I meant to say were, fasting selling in its first day. Plus, Glastonbury accomadates 170,000 people laddo, so it wasnt the festival. It was an estimated guess taken by experts I suppose. MGMT, dont make me laugh.
RE: And Oasis did 250,000 in 2 days at knebworth in 90s (worship) (worship) (worship) Well said mate. I guarentee, in 10 years time, Arctic Monkeys, will not be as succecful as the Oasis, or even still together.
Who you calling "LADDO" you **** band liking fool Mardy ****** !</p> Sleep it off and smell the coffee tomorrow, PS give Kings of leon ago - a real band who picked up instruments ata young ageand are really good.</p> "Oh is that another Arctic monkeys album on the horizon ?"</p> "no."</p> "good because it might be **** eh?"</p> </p>
for what its worth they are class, dont care what others think music is about how you relate to it and if we all liked the same stuff then life would be so boring!
RE: Arctic Monkeys - ok I suppose but hardly in the same league as Pink Floyd, Zepplin, or King Crimson mate. Not even better than most of the modern lot like the Killers, the Raconteurs, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand etc. And on top of that they are from SHEFFIELD.
RE: Arctic Monkeys - ok I suppose I agree with DonnyRed they are a quality band and to be honest i don't care what any others think, its my opinion and if you don't like it don't listen and **** off. Some way to go to be better/bigger than Oasis but they can do it.
So, based on their debut album being the fastest selling. Apart from, just how do they judge that, is it most sold in first day, first week, first month? Let's accept your opinion that it makes them one of the best bands of all time. You do realise that, prior to that, the fastest selling debut album was Girls Aloud?! so I take it you must have that in your collection as well, as they must also be one of the best groups ever?
