Five albums in seven years, that's not so much really. The Beatles released twelve albums in seven years and they're all solid gold (in my opinion). Bands that need years and years to record their albums, now they are trying too hard. As for the Arctic Monkeys, I don't find them that special and they sound a bit "generic" to me, but I think they're alright and I can see why people like them.
It's because they are mainstream that some folk say they are crap or maybe jelousy cos whoever they like nobody else does, all personal opinion in the end .Got a bloke at work who likes rammstein I think it's the biggest load of ***** I,ve heard in my life you can,t even tell what they are singing about.
I think it's because they are mainstream people think they are crap it's trendy to say you like somebody that nobody else has even heard of,and why has nobody heard of em cos they are ***** basically.A bloke at work think rammstein are fantastic it's the biggest load of ***** I,ve heard in my life you ask him what they are singing about and he ain't got a clue.
Well, that's of course a matter of opinion, but I can put on just about any album by The Beatles and enjoy it from the beginning to the end - there are not many artists that I can say the same about. Everyone knows their biggest hits, but even most of the less popular songs are pretty good in my opinion. Of course The Beatles had their average moments (and awful moments like "Revolution #9 ") as well, but the cool thing about them was that they were so innovative and always experimented with new things, that they never got boring.
As soon as someone mentions mainstream you know they're talking ********. Music should be about what sounds good not what it's 'cool' to like
Oh I absolutely love the Beatles don't get me wrong I've just never seen anyone say they could consider their albums strong start to finish except maybe abbey road
really? rubber soul revolver sgt pepper magical mystery tour white album ...and you think abbey road is the album with the least filler? above all those?
