Your mate whos an accountant Is he chartered? He needs to be if you go limited mate......so Im lead to believe anyway.
RE: Your mate whos an accountant no he doesn't have to be chartered or certified unless the company has a turnover of more that £5.6m and he requires an audit of his accounts rather than just his accounts prepared.
I think the 100's and 1000's of recruitment agencies out there would beg to differ. Some of them, believe it or not are in your industry, potentially making the most money. But clearly 'making yourself redundant' is the only benefit.
RE: Your mate whos an accountant Are you sure? My old accountant said he could no longer do my accounts if I went limited.........maybe he just didnt want the extra work?
RE: Your mate whos an accountant absolutely sure !!!
I am a partner in a firm of accountants.
maybe your fella just didn't like the 'cut of your gib'

RE: Mine took 5 days to get paid back. nt if it's self assessment and you file online then that cuts the waiting time down (normally)
I've very recently set up as self employed as a sole trader and have loads of support through Business Link, see their website and register locally. You can get access to a pre start up adviser and then sign on (no charge) for 2 years business support and access to free training. I've just done a session on marketing.
