Well I'll give KP some credit, he hung on in there, and just as well for England. Don't know if you saw it through to the end, but luck was definitely on his side though - could've been out 3 times with some stupid shots, again. But at least he's still holding it together. It's really hard to watch England batting though - painful at times.

Lost interest when at the press conference Cook said, "we're not going to change things just for the sake of it", knew then that the batting line up would be staying the same.
It's harder to get into the the team than out of it, that's for sure.

Oh dear England. Will they get to the holy grail of 300. I see they won the toss and put us in, they are playing with us like a new toy for Xmas. They know they only really need to bat 1 full innings to beat us. We are simply not good enough.

Pace? This isn't pace bowling - Walsh, Ambrose, Marshall, Garner, Holding, Lillie, Thompson - now that was pace and with very little restrictions on short bowling. Today's batsmen don't know they are born

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

I don't know why I'm even bothering, but...

Pace in itself means nothing. Today's pace bowlers, with the possible exception of South Africa's attack, are gentle, erratic and inconsistent. I know you won't realise that as anything before the year 2000 didn't exist, but today's lot would shot themselves against Wasim and Waqar, Allan Donald and Shaun Pollock, Thomson and Lillie, and the Windies greats. There is nobody even close to that level of explosive pace, metronomic accuracy, sheer hostility and unplayable inswingers/bouncers any more.

I know you'll drag up a quote or statistic from somewhere that supposedly proves me wrong, but I don't care.

Not to mention when playing Lillian Thompson or the Roberts Holding attacks in the 70's all the protection they had were pads gloves and a box none of the armour modern cricketers have. It would be great to take the current lot back In a time machine and get them to face the late 70s West Indies attack with the equipment used than and see how they did. I recon only Pieterson wouldn't struggle
