Apparently a flu' bug has decimated the Millwall squad for tonight's first round game against Scunny. Neil Harris reckons half of his squad are not fully fit and he will have to make his final selection as late as he can on the run up to kick off. Come on the Irons.!!!
Didn't know that before I backed them. Don't want them to win in the slightest but their home form is very good and Scunny's away form is questionable for a top 6 team. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I played for Donny Boys against Scunny Boys on the Old Showground pitch. Remember it was very bobbly. We had lads that liked to play the ball on the deck. They kept lumping it forward for their lads to chase. We got hammered 7-1. Their legendary full back Jack Brownsword ( 791 first team appearances) was born in the same village as me and when he used to come in our local Working Men's Club he used to tell us about Kevin Keegan who he mentored at Scunny before he went to Liverpool. Jack did a lot of fund raising for Cancer research and Kevin gave him signed posters, international caps, shirts and footballs to raffle off. Reckoned he was a very humble down to earth lad.
Don't mind who wins hope fleetwood go up for the away day in blackpool. I hope millwall don't get promoted but I can imagine it been abit hostile next season if they were. Mind you they would probley bring thier usuall 200 and it would be all ticket. Hope scunny and fleetwood in final.
Loves a league one play off that lad. Doing his own version of a Kante by winning something two years in a row with two different clubs....
