I've had an announcement put over the tannoy at Fitties Club but there's a turn on so Hecky might not get it. And tomorrow him and Conte are going 'crabbing' so I'm not promising owt. I will let you know.

I thought he was handed a pretty good thing Gally. Team was running like a dream. Pre-season I imagine would have been pretty much done. Yiadom was a target from the summer before.

I'm looking at Huddersfield. 9/11 permanent transfers done for the start of pre season. 2/4 summer loans done in the first week of July. No first team player signed from my limited knowledge of Huddersfield after the 15th July.

Anything in this or just coincidence?

He makes these comments a lot but rarely delivers. He said he would spend the day with Family for Valentine's day. He went to watch his former Club play.

When did this happen? Have you seen the photos of him frolicking in the sea during a mid season HOLIDAY?

Hemsworth Tyke - would you prefer it if the useless conman Lee Johnson was still our manager?

Ah ok. Probably just like championship manager, right?

Do you mean done when he took over permanently as head coach?

Yes, it would probably make sense to get as much business done early on. Does the season start next week?

For all we know, and it would be highly likely, as u have previous, you've probably just made all those statistics up. I cant be arsed and have no inclination to check, but could u please list the 9 who signed by the start of the season and the 2 who followed and also the 4 loans. Could u furnish me with their previous clubs, transfer fees and contract length. I'll then analyse this gubbins and let u know if it was coincidence or evidence of little green men from mars.
    Cheers

Probably believes that he's "progressive" in similar way to Pep.

The word legend gets branded about too often but Hecky is one. He's got us out of the tin pot league both as a player and a boss. He's just helped us to our best league finish for 17 years even though he's had the successful team he's built up TWICE broken up first last summer and again in January. Since January he's done more work than his job should involve because we are shamefully letting this CEO situation drag on.

As I said the other day if he didn't turn up to Oakwell again until the first day of pre season training, nobody could moan because he's earned IMO a very very long holiday. Right now people above him should be making things happen so he can relax with his loved ones. I suspect we will sign more than one player next week. It's good seeing us linked to guys already and we signed multiple new players last May and so this May will be the same I would imagine.

I liked Lee Johnson. I thought he got it right and we were starting to get things going.
I looked back at January this season and January the last. Under LJ we signed Brownhill and Fletcher. Total game changes weren't they. He'd won 7 of 8 League games.

Brownhill was and is ****. He looked good because he was a step up from the woeful Pearson but that didn't make him good. It is like me being made to look positive towards the club when compared to you

Subtle difference between us and Huddersfield is their owner Dean Hoyle has more disposable income than ours.
From what I've seen his net worth was around £365 million which is considerably more than our owner has.
Patrick has stated he wants us to be self sufficient. That's why we have had to sell our better players and buy in the lower leagues to bring players through to sell on in future.
Huddersfield owner subsidises their fans ST's ( around £179 per season I think) and has been able to back the manager with some marque signings. Our squads transfer value is around £10.75 million ( after Mawson/January sales) and at face value Huddersfields squad is worth around £21 million.
I'm just happy we've still got a team to support and thank PC for his input. Without him we'd have been goosed.

I look back at Pre season and think. Stalybridge. That was planned well in advance. I was told by someone there that There manager Knew Ben Mansford and that's the reason that it happened.

Going to the Cheltenham area. LJ's idea surely?

I think not wanting to get things done quickly's a bad idea. The reason why so many (especially males) are rushing around for presents on Christmas eve.

Brownhill is a superb young player. You're being incredibly harsh there.

I don't rate him in any way at all Whitey. Maybe it's harsh but I don't think it's coincidental that hourihane flourished even more without him this season. Perhaps I just don't like that kind of boring, doesn't really tackle but doesn't run forward either kind of midfielder of which we seem to have had more than our fair share (which suggests it is just me as managers keep signing them)

Saying a Owners wealths basically a waste of words. Armancio Ortega owns/owned Deportivo. He had a wealth of a 51 billion. They aren't going to start competing with the top teams. real oviedo are part owned by carlos slim. One of if not the most wealthy person in Football if not the world. Like Mr Slim's other club Club Lean they aren't going to compete with the world super powers of Football.

Anyone else starting to think Conte sounds a bit of a knob? I know all about making sacrifices for work but sometimes family (especially young kids) have to come first.
