    New season new manager and hopefully a more positive style of football means to me that every player should start with a clean slate and I don't see why Watters won't come good under Clarke. We can't afford to give 4 yr 1st team contracts out and then not show belief in these players.

    Never say never. Everyone gets a clean slate to start the season from me.

    Cosgrove finished the season well and had a few moments during the season, maybe could have had more starts as Cole began to struggle?

    if he’s playing to his strengths, it should help anyone playing off him.

    I would imagine there keeping that one under wraps until a more positive one gets announced another punt after a long wait probably not a good idea

    Last season was odd. Even though we scored a lot of goals last season, you couldn't say we were a side that created loads of chances or even got the ball into the final third for sustained periods, especially against anyone in the top third of the league. That got worse as the season went on and was in part why Cole's goals dried up.

    Hopefully this is rectified this season, if it is, we might give the current crop more of chance to rack up some goals.

    For one, Connor's delivery should be worth a few guilt edged chances for Cosgrove alone!

    To be fair, this sort of signing goes someway to explaining our financial plight. Long contract on a punt despite seeing evidence that he didn't seem up to scratch. Its not easy, but we often seem to be making decisions based on what has gone before rather than what is right for now.

    Can only hope that maybe we have a couple of young prem loans coming our way once the clubs are back from pre season tours otherwise I’m worried.
