    FIFA &GB

One of the most important FIFA committees whose title escapes me for the moment but it my be the management committee or the International committee consists of 8 members. It is this committtee which sanctions any changes in the Laws of the Game.

    The English,Welsh,Scottish and N.Irish FA's each have a seat + 4 other Nations.
That gives our Home Nations quite a say in FIFA affairs. This power base reflects the fact that the games origins were in Great Britain.

To compeate as GB in the Olympics could weaken this situation and could lead to the four home Nations having to form a new FA of the United Kingdom and a lose of seats on the committee.

I was replying to and therefore directing the question to La Dent

about Ireland competing united at Rugby Union and asking why they did that?

I guess if you view the board with flat threads rather than threaded then you don't see the order and responses correctly.
