The owners of a club are separate to the entity they own. Just because they have high net worth, it doesn't mean the club is wealthy. It may be more in the black than most clubs because of the last year and a half, but it still has historic debts and has a modest turnover, much lower than our peers. There is also no guarantee any "investment" they make is from their own pockets. Investments are often leveraged debt, and people in capital markets, turnaround and hedge funds use other peoples money raised. I'm interested to see how the investment vehicle to take a stake in the club is structured and where its hosted. I'm keen to see how transparent we are going forward. We're suddenly going to a much more complex board structure, that i'm assuming includes representation from the Cryne family too. How day to day running will operate now could be interesting. It may be that the board act as an investment board, make spend decisions, but leave day to day running to existing personnel. We don't know yet but there are many questions ahead. The first question I have.... why have you invested in Barnsley Football Club and what do you intend to do with it to generate return on investment?
