RE: No.

Ok then, minimum requirement, I am sure you knew what I meant, we all know what PC said about continual improvement and mid table finishes but nows not the time to rake all that up.

My initial point was "subject to a point" he will have kept us in the championship for 3 seasons. Is that disastrous?

    Agreed...

It appears we have no vision of the future and are happy to accept Nob Rolls talking about miracles every week, when he does not talk about this site.

    Absolutley NOT a disaster..

the question is if it is continually acceptable to show little or no improvement or to fail to meet the owners target, that was still being talked about up to January.

RE: Who is the Oakwell setup? Anyone specific?

I think there lies the probem, re. the existing crop of players.

Sacking and appointing a new manager is a costly business for starters. Add then the requirement of the new manager to change the existing squad to 'his players' and you're talking a financial outlay in the millions.

There's more than just sentimentality behind managerial changes.

    No again.

    I seriously don't agree.

The last manager was sacked for saying we should look to consolidate in the Championship as our aim.

This manager has been backed to go further than that and his brief must have been to be looking at getting near the play-offs this season. Why not? Swansea are up there, didn't we beat them to get to this division?

Thats a much more realistic possibility

and with a terrible start and within the blink of an eye, it'll be Polls on "Who thinks we shouldve kept Davey".

    Next to nothing.

Not many other clubs have a goalscorer like Jason Scotland, either.

If we had a 20 goal a season striker...

... Simon would play him at left back !!:D

Seriously... goals win games and we just haven't got the firepower. Wolves looked ordinary to me but put Blake and Imlowododo in and it's a different story.

    it was abart that

imagine the uproar..Davey signing an unknown lower league striker for 25 grand.

He looked pretty **** to me but you certainly cant argue with his scoring record.

Mindsthi boggy has not got a bad record given his number of starts.
