RE: For me we need 22 squad players I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't post regarding things you know nothing about. There's more than enough 'experts' out there in ww.land and the best advice given about them would be "we know nothing". Believe it or not, we're in better financial shape than we have been in years - according to Deloitte & Touche. Unless, of course, you have a greater understanding of high finance and the particular details involving Cardiff City. Maybe not,eh? On the football front, where I'd prefer to stay, Cardiff won't be involved in the dogfight at the bottom - nor top - in my opinion. I think we'll finish between 8 and 10th.
RE: For me we need 22 squad players Is that the same Womles that Sam bought for £30k and took from non-league oblivion to the Premier League for 10 years and an FA Cup win? The same Wombles he then sold for £28m to two Norwegian BILLIONAIRES who were well aware that he had sold the Plough Lane ground (for another £8m) previously because of the supposed agreement with Merton Brough Council on a new ground which they later reneged on? Is that the reason Cardiff City Council are being so thorough in their dealings with reagrd to the stadium development, insisting that they have control of all the monies concerned as a safeguard and have gone through the accounts with a fine-tooth comb? Is this another topic you're an expert on?
RE: For me we need 22 squad players I was well up on things like that til about 18 months ago bu i cant really be arsed now. But I wouldnt trust Sam Hamman as far as i could chuck him.
RE: For me we need 22 squad players Hi Bluebird
Love the Avatar
I can read accounts, it's 'what I do', and I would be a tad concerned if I was you. Unless you get the stadium sorted I think you may have a problem.
Anyway enough of that, BFC 1 CCFC 0, I hope !!!
Oh and btw if you are travelling in a small group, not sporting colours, not particularly vocal (or a larey Barsteward ) Outpost is normally ok, Town centre could be iffy.
Dave

RE: For me we need 22 squad players Unless we get the stadium, we are finished. (RIP) However, that's progressing very well now with the Council due their final decision at the end of this month (after their holibobs have finished!) and we are expected to start on site before the end of the year. It's been out to tender for a while now and the widely predicted "Yes" would mean the appointment of the contractor was virtually immediate as they have all been made aware of the time implications. Ordinarilly, I would normally sip the odd sparkling lemonade in town but on this occasion I'm travelling with a group in Reg Varney style - 'on the buses'. Apparently, they've sorted a couple of pubs for us and you can guarantee we'll be more tightly guarded than Osama Bin Laden at an airport so no chance of a wander, unfortunately. Will be sampling the offerings at the fine local hostelries at 12 noon, apparently. (raiseaglass) With regards to the game, we'll be difficult to break down as we have two solid centre-halfs and, at last, two decent full backs. Ricky Scimeca will also drop off just in front of the center halfs. We'll probably play with two wingers to supply our front two of Chopra and Steve Thompson. Think we'll come away with a 2-0 myself but we never seem to do that well on the first day of the season. Then again, we've been given away games as the first fixture for the last 5 years! Chris Barker is injured along with Kevin Cooper and have not travelled. Looks unlikely we'll sign Jason Koumas in time as well - we only have 5 minutes to go before the cut-off point.
RE: For me we need 22 squad players What ever the result, come back on after the game for comments(piss takes)
Dave

RE: For me we need 22 squad players No problem fella. Mind you - there's only so many pat's on the back I can take Just about to start the weekend with a round of golf, followed by an evening of informed debate - well as informed as it gets after one or two strongbows. Early to bed, then leaving at 7. Can't wait.
