Thanks Tekky! Annoyingly, the Monday after I leave (30th April is my leaving date) is May Day so everyone gets that day off anyway! We're planning on going on holiday and taking advantage of the non school holiday prices :D We were looking to go away in Easter and now we have shifted the dates by a few weeks it's a good few hundred cheaper!

You'll find the place won't be full of miserable teachers as well.

    Good on ya

One step behind you. But like you not sure what direction to go in. So I suppose I need to keep teaching off that list

    Re: JamDrop you have PM

Sorry I missed this set off posts. I teach in secondary but we know that the system as it is properly insane. Monitoring all the time, it's no way to live. You have nothing to lose; you can always get a job back in education as we need teachers. Life is too short. My route out was studying for an MA and now PhD but I still work two days a week nominally which takes almost 4 and I'm looking at how to drop those two days. I feel for you and have had similar crazy days (and sleepless nights of worrying). I wish I could have advised to look at a Sep 1st resignation as it gives you the summer and also a good term of a half of knowing you are leaving and experiencing the life of teachers who weren't scared of getting fired in the old days and could teach for the love of teaching.

Best wishes all the same, I doubt you will regret it.
