On Dodworth Road?

IIRC, it's under new ownership and currently being refurbished as "The Limes".

In the Chron, there was story about a wedding reception (or some such thing) getting cancelled at the last minute because of this....

If you're looking for food of a similar standard

You can't beat the restaurant at the Rose and Crown in Hoylandswaine. The food is really first class.

Also, Beatson House in Cawthorne is bang on.

Been to Beatson House a couple of times already when I've been back and been impressed.

There's not much choice in Barnsley is there?

    Try the Rose and Crown...but

...it's a new chef with a different menu since about the end of November . The original has moved'Riley's' to bigger premises out Huddersfield way. It's not what it was before, but still decent.

You need to move away from Barnsley for anything like a decent restaraunt

Or anything of any worth to be honest.

I had a similar question about an establishment the other week.

I rang them up and said, "Are you closed down?"

    They said, "No."

    Hope this helps.

I tried the number which was given to me by Directory Enquiries and the number was "not taking incoming calls" - which was what first prompted my question. So nobs to thee.
