    Apparently, yes! My uncle was manager of the Gaumont in Hyde back in the day and I have a very vague recollection of being in the projection area when the Beatles were playing.

    I was at the Christmas Day Sex Pistols gig. Vaguely remember somebody coming down the queue handing out turkey sandwiches. I would have been around 15 years old at the time, it was chaotic and full of energy. I saw Bowie in Birmingham later that year and I thought he was terrible. The band I would have loved to seen at that period were The Clash
