In all fairness, during the 1975/76 season, whenever Peter Burke or Mick Pickering were injured, Barry Murphy would deputise in central defence. Later on in the campaign, we signed John Saunders from Huddersfield Town, initially on loan and then permanently as part of the deal which took Mick Butler the other way. After that, Barry played at right back.
