We've had this every season for the last three years. In the team till the end of September, when we realise he's not good enough, and then he's not seen again till the next pre-season. I noticed Wade Elliott was playing for Burnley last night - he singlehandedly tore Williams apart at Bournemouth the season before last.

I expect it was similar last night.

2nd half especially. Mind, the ref not allowing Reid on until they crossed into the box for the equaliser didn't help, but that doesn't hide our frailties individually and collectively defensively.

And do you know I've brought a tie to work that doesn't match my shirt ? ffs in a basket.

RE: First 2 players off the pitch: Kay and Reid

    Fair points.

We struggled against similar sides last season but usually got a result. This season the "Andy Booth's" are a bit nay a lot better and will score say 1 in 3 or 4 chances. Like mentioned elsewhere, overall defensive system needs to be looked at, but it's always a worry that we would lose our attacking edge if we changed the style of play.

I also don't believe that it is AR's way to change the style to be more dour if you like.

Not be from me, but a few more defeats and this place will be full of the calls. I think he deserves time to build even if that means r********on and promotion again. Regardless of what is said from above, I think there is massive pressure to do it as cheaply as possible.

    Perhaps Ritchie thinks

If we had a striker who actually posed a threat, and lets face it, noneof Richard, Hayes or Wright looked particularly like scoring, we maynot have to be so cavalier in our approach.

Personally I agree we need a striker but we also need one, if not twodefensive players as well and needed them on permanent contract. I amnot convinced a change of formation will be enough to stem the tide ofgoals conceded, nor that the loan market has what we need.

I am resisting Greenwoods with all my might. There is a gun shop/country puirsuits shop round the corner, Barbour waistcoat my good man, and a stout walking stick.

Well done getting rid of the ticket. Didn't leave work till half eleven last night so my pessimism was well founded.
