    I think so.
    The ball went central between him and Joe but I always thought the keeper should go for it in these circumstances.
    After all he has gloves and is slightly in front of 1st slip.
    They might end up giving the gloves to Pope in next test…. I don’t really think they will but it is definitely a problem that needs sorting

    U aint missing much apart from some awful bowling. Robinson is too slow and ali couldnt bowl me out. Broady and jimmy try hard but both getting on a bit.

    It was always a gamble to give him the gloves, after he's gone so long without keeping in red ball cricket (or any form for that matter). Not sure Pope would be much better though, and difficult to get Foakes back in now. Would have to put somebody in the top order that doesn't want to be there.

    I still think a top class keeper saves more runs than most batsmen score Bairstows ,missed stumpings and catches will have cost us well over 100 runs so far this game, + Foaks is no numpty with the bat either - I would definitely be playing Foaks - problem is do you drop Bairstow or make him or Pope open and drop Ducket - neither ideal
