    Great game. Great drama. Credit due to Australia. Could have gone either way. Can't do with bore draws. And looking forward to the next one. Series is not over.

    Some woeful captaincy. Ashes are gone not gunna win 3 out of 4 with our piss poor bowling attack. Anderson is a legend but finshed now. Robinson and ali couldnt bowl me out.

    if we’d took 2 wickets though…. Stokes try’s to win, every decision, every field change is all about trying to win, it’s a massive mindset change that won’t always work, fair play to him

    Where am i wrong apart from couldnt bowl me out. Jimmy is a legend but 40 now. Robinson is slow for a quick bowler and ali was shoehorned in somehow surely there must be a better spin than him in england.

    Stokes trying to be too clever cost England that match should have taken Root off once Carey was out and taken the new ball instead the Aussies scored 14 off roots last over and got the momentum back.

    It’s the same tripe when Barnsley lose… all rubbish, I’d do better etc etc. usually 10 seconds after the game.

    It’s been a brilliant game, we might win the next, jimmy might get a few wickets too

    Not the track for Jimmy. In hindsight should have played Wood, but hindsight's a wonderful thing. Don't worry Anderson's still got something to offer in this series.

    Spot on, its damned if you do damned if you don't. Previous captains have been hammered for being too negative. It's sport both teams are trying to win. The rash over reaction of people to loss is likely just down to emotion.

    Root got Carey’s wicket and Stokes had kept him on after the new ball was due so he must deserve some credit for that ?
    We lost a very close game against the current world champions but our performance showed that we were a fair match

    Architect's of their own downfall. Couple of strange decisions, the declaration and keeping root on spring to mind aided by some poor keeping by Bairstow.
    Only 1 game though but can't afford to let the Aussies get 2 up

    Good God, we lose one test and we aren’t coming back from it this series, get a grip will ya.
    Poor selection cost us this end of, Moeen obvs or up to the rigours of test bowling , Bairstow too rusty behind the stumps, yes other one off mistakes and the daft declaration , but we can easily come back.
