Good catch Harry encouraged by his Yorks pal.
It’s unlikely that the light will hold out but they can play til 7.30

Lovely catch by Brook when Bairstow should have took it.

We're going to end up chasing 250 plus here if we're not careful. How have we let Travis Head get to 50. We've seen how uncomfortable he is against the short ball, ******* get into him.

I’d take 2 wickets if it meant we had to face half an hour batting

I don't fancy England batting at all. 2nd innings we will be around 150ao.

Head using his Headingley experience well from his Yorkshire stint.

I'm sorry but the tactics to Travis Head are appalling. This is shocking from England.

We've got two full days to get 251. Get bazball ****** off get the top order to engage their brains and bat smart and sensible, we can creep towards the figure on day 4 without losing many wickets then see where we are for day 5.

    Easy init

Finally got him out but there is no way he should have been allowed to make 70 odd runs. Aussies have enough runs on the board in my opinion. I bloody well hope we make a fight of it because if we lose this then this lot will he shamed as the first England team to lose an ashes home series in 20 odd years.

Last winter, these two openers got a big opening stand with a record scoring rate of six and a half.
They’re out to beat it and good luck to them

They looked relatively untroubled in that potentially tricky little session. Well done both for getting to stumps but do NOT give your wickets away in the first half hour tomorrow. If we can get a decent opening stand that will push the Aussies back, thus making it less likely for catches close in and at slip. We can win this, no doubt, but a couple of thrown away wickets will change things in an instant. Brook and Bairstow need to step up tomorrow. No more flat batting to fielders. Just play the game as it should be played.:)
