    If Bazball can't win this test against the Aussies it sure as hell isn't going to win many others.

    Bairstow is a liability with bat and gloves and we can't rely on Stokes carrying the batting lineup to make it even close.

    Doesn’t need Bazball from here. Boring batting till the seamers get tired, as they’re not giving the spinner a go.

    Woakes seems to see it differently

    Much better. Woakes scored a 4 off his legs and defended well for 4 balls. Then another 4. Very little risk .

    Dom Bess, 12 wkts div 2. Very steady away.
    Simon Harmer 36 wkts 2nd top div 1, but he's sth african.
    Jack leach has 34 in div 2 but injured.
    The obvious pick would be Rashid if he could be persuaded.

    Wow. Woakes completely proving me wrong with his batting. Put the hook and pull shot away and played a good innings, albeit with a bit of luck at times.

    Brilliant from Wood as well, thought Brook had blown it with a nothing shot, but no issue with Sir Mark to come in.
