England need to dry up the singles. It's what they normally do well. if they can that could create pressure and create chances for England.
Think it's about slowing the game down from here, keep their run rate down meaning less overs to bat for us and pray for some rain. Pitch looks as flat as it has for 3 days, it's a travesty that the batsmen have wasted it.
We'll you were right about the Aussies piling them on not looking good unless the weather u intervenes. Can't see us batting for one day let alone two
This is a joke. What on earth was Trott thinking of? I'm off to bed so I can be up in time for the footie in the morning. This is simply embarassing.
I can only conclude that Andy Flowers has been getting motivational tips from Keith Hill.......what the chuff is going on down under
Trott could do with looking at himself in the mirror after stupidly throwing his wicket away with a weak shot.
I didn't expect the first innings batting colapse but I didn't expect anything from the first test either, not at The Gabba.
Yeah could see it happening, much easier to bat positively under little pressure. Just can't see us getting anything, although stranger things have happened. Some serious innings' are required though.
Unfortunately, though, they haven't have they?. I am sure no team has ever won a test match with a 4th innings score as high as the one we need. A draw seems implausable as we have 2 whole days to bat out and if we did it then surely we would have accumulated the runs to win it. But it's never been done before.
Yes, 3 years ago at the Gabba. 250 ish deficit on first innings needing to bat over 2 days and we got 517-1 and declared.
How unlucky was Carberry btw. Trott got the mental block on because the ball that got him out wasn't even that high. Slightly above his waist leg stump
