I think people have forgotten, or were not alive to know, how poor the crowds were in the late 1980s and first half of the 1990s. As someone as already pointed out, I can remember the ground looking really thin for much of the promo season when the football was on another planet. Our gates over recent years have been quite good. When we were in the Championship we were pretty much level with Preston and QPR. As for last Friday, plenty of seats were free around me in the West upper, but the atmosphere was excellent. Those that did come got behind the team.
Most under 12s who went with adults in that period where either lifted over or climbed under the turnstiles so weren't counted as did any adult who happened to know the person operating the turnstiles things were a bit different back then.
I reckon the vast majority of people will renew their season tickets,it’s the ones who aren’t who we hear the most from.
Could have been there were two lots of flag bearers for the Northampton game with lots of family with them, all sat in the west stand.
