Maybe you have seen many cases when the ref has given those, however it has to be adjudged to be deliberate handball and if a players arms are down by his side and close to the body (as was the case) then, short of actually chopping his arms off, how can he not touch the ball with his hand if the ball is played onto his hand?
OK it would have been harsh but it stopped the ball going to an Aussie striker Still think it was much more of a penalty than the blatant dive that the Italian made though. Dont tell me you think that its OK to dive over someone stationary on the floor as thats part of the game
