I think the atmosphere is poor for most home games and that must filter through to the players. One goal away from being a couple of points off the play offs and you could hear a pin drop most of yesterday's game.

Reminds me of a Mel Machin end of season with 10 games to go but nowt to play for kind of atmosphere. Whether we have surrended the season or not it feels like we have. Not sure if that's fair or not. There is a loss of identity between team and playerS with all the changes. It's a Rome for new heroes but we haven't identified any yet.

All baked beans must be made in the same big giant baked bean pot and then just tinned and branded accordingly surely?

The powers that be have aloud the heart to be ripped out of the team, and in turn the fans, you can disagree all you want but that's what's happened, after all the forward momentum of the last twelve months, the club as taken four steps back in the January transfer window, most fans feel that with the good money that's come into the club, and us being in the lofty position of eighth in the Championship during the transfer window that we had a perfect opportunity to reinvest and kick on in the second half of the season. Instead we've brought in three loan players that haven't been playing at this kind of level, if they've been playing at all, and two permanent signings, we needed new players before we lost our four best players, and now we've been left with the same size squad as we had going into the window. but it's significantly weaker. In my mind and many other supporters minds it's a case of wait until the summer and see what we can do then, because this season is over.

We feel for Hecky too and agree that Oakwell is negative. But the board made a choice to sell four of our first 11 over the course of a season for money, so now it's a case of roll on May and rebuild in the summer when we have to sign around 15 new players.

I believe that yesterday Mr Heckingbottom picked the best team available to him, from that team going into next season realistically we'll have, Davies, MacDonald, Roberts, and Bradshaw. Add to them four Hammill, Mowatt, and Yiadom, that's seven players and maybe a couple more from the under 23s Williams, Moncur, and so on, that are up to championship standards. we could even lose a couple of them. We need to bring in at the very least twelve players that are capable of playing in the championship. Given our failings in getting permanent singing through the door in three out of the last four transfer windows, I think it's only natural that our supporters are worried about the future. Them that are not must have ice running through their veins or fresh air between the ears.

Shocked. Getramellon in flouncing off "taking my bat away" statement. You've got the attention you wanted. Bet you'll be at Oakwell next season.

Not necessarily, Plenty around me at the game were saying things like, it's just like us to go and win at Reading next week. Our intensity will improve As the new players get more game time and gain match fitness. I, for one am still hopeful. The younger element at the back tried to get that new song going several times, quite like it as well. What are the lyrics (I've seen the link to the Celtic fans singing it but still can't tell what they are)

Ohh Marley Watkins he is so wonderful
When he scores a goal, its so beautiful magical
When he runs down the wing he is fast as lightning, it's frightening
And it makes all the bhoys sing. Then the tune

Bhoys needs changing to Reds but we've not got that far yet.

Moaning isn't exclusive to home games.

Hemsworth Tyke claims to travel all over and he's a right moaning chuff.

Seriously though, blackpool away was awful for negativity, and we had some right moaners sat behind us at Rotherham and even Brentford where we played well!

It's a fact that people have made a special effort to get to aways, and a good number have been in the pub for hours before the game, and they're all together in one part of the ground.

I've had time to reflect and your correct, i don't think I could do a full boycott.

I'll be watching the home games however it will be a via a live video 'beam back' in Barnsley Library (set up next to the Western Fiction Section)
Represents good value actually, £50 for season ticket and it's just like being theer.

You never know. He might be banned for attempting to sneak 8 cans of Stella and his dog into Oakwell.

Can you take domestic pets and your own booze into Barnsley Library?

I wouldn't know about the booze, with me being strictly tea total. I do have plenty of 'boozy' friends though so I will ask about see what the crack is. Pets are allowed in if well behaved and muted. Vets for pets are doing a good offer if you fetch your season ticket in with your pet they will give a 50 percent discount on devocalisation surgery. In and out same day like.
