An hour and a half? What transport do you use, a horse and cart?

You can do Oldham in 45 mins on a Saturday, in particular.

Just reading your signature reminded me of that debate - it's going back some time but what happened to your mate EI Addio?

Is he posting under another guise or just gave up on it all?

From manchester piccadilly to oldham is 8.8 miles so will be nearer to £20 but depends if you want the cheaper hassle of bus or willing to pay £20? With you going with your lad, it's probably better to get bus as you won't be on the piss round manchester like us lot beforehand

There's always the tram. Takes about half an hour from Market Street. That's about a 5/10 minute walk from the station, alternatively you could jump on the tram at Manchester Piccadilly and change at Market street.

Ooh what debate? I like a mass debate. EI - still in touch with him, but like many folk from those days, I think he chalked phuck on the board when it turned into the ****-pit it was. Sniping, insults, too many keyboard-warriors - it wasn't a very pleasant place, tbh. I left it alone for a while too, but living away from tarn, it's difficult getting banter going on the football with your mates when most of 'em couldn't find Barnsley on the map. So I've drifted back. There's a FB group where a load of the old mob exchange pleasantries on matchdays, and we'll have the very occasional meet-up at Oakwell if our the stars are aligned in a convenient way.

You must remember the "season ticket holders are the lifeblood of the club debate"?

Oh god yes, who was the utter bellend who came out with that??! I think the quote was "people like you [me and EI] are nothing to the club.....we're the lifeblood". All that because we both worked, at the time, down south and simply couldn't to Oakwell as often as we liked. So the couple of hundred £ we both put the club's way each season via POTD made us 'nothing' to the club in that *****'s opinion. I do hope he's still regaling the board with his valued thoughts.

Excellent. I stand by every word. Hopefully you've seen a bit of sense now you've grown up.
