RE: Quite a few schools are merging

I've only seen one incident. I think the Kingstone year 10/11s came up when they had an inset day but the police all came up to our school. Can't remember anything else happening although people say that our schools hate each other.

I can't see how it's gonna work at all. Holgate's packed as it is with so many people, and Kingstone's probably the same, so when it gets merged it's gonna be like a football match - a Sheff Wednesday football match that is, complete with all the trouble and everything.

 

My lads first day at 'big' school today.
Clean, new uniform and a smart shirt and tie.
Bright as a button. Well, that's how he went out this morning. I dread to see him when he comes in later.

The same stuff was being said when Broadway and Charter merged to form Kingstone. People get used to it.

 

I remember

that half the lads in years 10 and 11 used to go down to an area between the two schools for a pre-arranged mass brawl with Holgaters. And one of our teachers (no names mentioned, though he was famous for having a large chin...) apparently went down and hid in a bush and filmed it one time! All these fighting idiots wound up in trouble.

 

My brother says

you mean Chinny Beaumont (allegedly). .Mr Beaumont left in July.

 

Hope he's enjoyed it

when he gets back. There's nothing worse than hating your first day and not wanting to go again.

"Chinny Bowwwwwwww" used to be the cry whenever he approached. He was probably an okay bloke really, I never had him for any subjects tho.

I made my Holgate debut against Kingstone.</p>

The kid who was marking me, sent off after 5 mins.</p>

My daughter has just started Barnsley 6th form college today. She's been looking forward to it since she got her GCSE results.
