England are doing well, but the Australians have capitulated.

Come on, the Aussies have been rubbish. I could have bowled them out.

Agreed, this is an awful Australian team... worst of my lifetime and I just about remember the side we beat before Border got them organised.

I think we've been quite poor so far too. We've given our wickets away a lot, put some catches down and only Anderson has impressed with the ball.

If we were playing South Africa again I'd suggest we'd be 1 down and facing an uphill task only having 360 on the board.

This is my point. That non-catch just now sums them up.

I like how, rather than enjoying England's success, people prefer to point out how bad the Australians are before commenting that if we were playing a different team we'd be doing badly. Got to love the English pride on show.

The last Ashes series i watched was back in 2005. Australia came over with the likes of Ponting, Gilchrist, Hayden, Langer, Lee, Mcgrath, Warne (as well as Clarke and Haddin).

I cant get excited about this years Australian Ashes squad.

But the gap in the middle of the bat can be a liability when facing. It's a trade-off.

I've noticed that too. They test them in wind tunnels. Poor eyesight though, hence the radar and the reason you are not allowed to roll the ball really hard. The gaps between the stumps are really important too. Negative space and all that. And to let the wind pass through so you get more runs.

God no way am I a cricket fan but why has Hemsworth got you all waffling on about England when Yorkshire just thrashed Derbyshire by an innings, away, and are sitting proud at the top of the Championship.

Hey, I get to show some arty credentials (despite being an unflinching scientist) - was quite taken by Rachel Whiteread's "Untitled (Library)" at the Hirshhorn when I was over in DC a few years back . . .

Take nowt away from England, we can say our teams were ***** through the 90's when we couldn't win the ashes for
    14 years.
