What's a clipboard merchant? Might start using that one. I've only watched football for around 15 years so I'm probably not as qualified as you, but i think it's clear Bahre has a lot of potential.

You have a colourful turn of phrase. Though you can't write grammatical English at the end of the day. Or even at the beginning....I go back way beyond 1985. I was at the 1912 Cup Final replay....and watched the highlights later on BBC Radio.

Agree. He's got a touch of class, just very inconsistent with his final ball or hesitant sometimes, though he's not the only one to be fair. Can only see him improving with us.

I think some comments about Bähre are due to the fact he isn't British...

100% sign him up, massive potential in our squad with the right coaching and a few additions.

I don't think that's true at all. Why try to invent a racist element when nobody at all has suggested anything of the sort?

I too think he is class and not reached anywhere near his potential. He does give the ball away with misplaced passes on numerous occasions but there are clear examples that he has got what it takes to develop into a good player. The highlights of the last game showed one incident where he took a long ball on the run coming from his right and slightly behind him and trapped it dead and continued on leaving the defender in his wake (in direct contrast to Moore's usual 1st touch). On numerous occasions he has had the ball with two or three players on him and somehow retained and come away with the ball before passing.
I don't understand those that say he is a waste of money or "He must have something on Stendel" etc. Currently, Moore offers more to the side as a scorer of goals but , for me , he has reached his maximum potential and , whilst he is a great asset in this division I doubt his mere physical presence would be sufficient to sustain him in the Championship. Bahre, for me, with his ball control and a bit more consistency, could make that transition to Championship.
Just my opinion, and what do I know? Feel free to disagree.

Care to put that into English? I for one have no idea what you are talking about.

I don’t think it’s because he’s not British I think it’s more to do with it been a pretty obvious Stendel signing rather than club one & some people expect more from him

Think he’s going to be a brilliant player and will be much better next year once fully settled and a season playing fully professionally football. Not fully clued up on German leagues but think he’s spent majority of time at semi professional level.

    haha ha!
I never stated I made money out of footy...and don't but I know a few in the game who do and occasionally I attend games with them.
My own father...who is well in 80s now is probably one of the most respected scouts in yorkshire (now retired...but still attends games with others who aren't ....as they very much value his opunion)....I get most of my ideas from him.....He's never far wrong....he has a scrap book and letters from players...all of whom have made the grade that would put most scouts to shame. However he is a very quiet un assuming man...who never brags nor boasts about who he is reccommended/found.
He is also a studious scholar of the game....tactics etc etc.
I am a mere bfc fan ..who also has views...which I like share on this forum.
I know that at the slightest mention of anyone on here having any kind link with ours or other professional clubs....people (some) see that as some kind attack....which it is not .....I do not put 99% of the stuff I hear on here...as I think that unwise and more personal attacks may ensue.
I confess...I am no Oracle on players and tactics but I do borrow some ideas from people that are!
I will continue to put my views on here....but I am far from an attention seeker...just a bloke....a bloke who has been watching our club since about 1976...and love my club like everyone else.

Honestly pal. Don’t feel the need to explain yourself to the smattering of trolls who offer next to nothing of interest or value. Just laugh along with them. The only shame is a lot of good posters who contributed a lot to the board now feel it not worth posting. Dodworth, Rattus(the latest user name of a long time troll), Conan, Tyrone (not posted recently). All the same kettle of fish. Nothing interesting or intelligent to contribute so it’s the only attention they can get. If they are responding to you it’s a sign of their affection. They’ll be more upset if you just ignore them.

One of two players Daniel wanted in. That's good enough for me, for now.

Thanks oc...I don't mind people (anyone) voicing their opinions...I do it myself.
It's just better when it's...well.... constructive.
I used to enjoy "red rains" match reports.....I didn't agree with a lot of them but he backed his stuff up.

Yep, used to enjoy reading his versions of a match even though I very rarely agreed with them!

I miss Red Rain's contributions too. He always pointed out that it was 'this is how I saw it', rather than 'this is how it was', and we all see things differently at the game.
For example, after Boxing Day, I read a few negatives regarding Lindsay, but through my eyes, he won everything in the air, but did his token couple of misplaced passes.

As for Bahre. If the other thread about Moncur not renewing is correct, then Bahre needs keeping. He will, and is ( in my eyes) improving whereas Moncur is just not moving forward career wise, nor on the pitch, sadly.
