It's easy to fail a drugs test. Co-codamol which is an over the counter pain killer contains codeine which is on the prohibited list.

Daily Mirror doesn't name what he's taken, but simply describes it as " performance enhancing."

No other club has had points docked and we lost the game in question so that is a none starter I think
They have no idea what he has taken - if they knew they would publish it they are just guessing performance enhancing - Im hoping he has just made a mistake with over the counter stuff - but other possibilities are recreational and deliberate cheating but to do either of those mid season is too stupid for words and I guess he will be dismissed if either of those are true so it doesnt matter how long the ban is

Can anyone remember the Cameroon World Cup Team that ate monkeys???
Is Bambo from that part of the world ?
If he is - then he could say that he’s eaten a monkey - and then blame the monkey for eating the banned substance.

    It’s worth a try.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I read they're tested after random games and sometimes during training and in the off season for 'out of competition' spot checks.

He's been suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation, as per the club statement.

just putting 'been suspended', as Gum did is (either deliberately or not) misleading.

I’ve often thought he looked like he was on Ketamine.

Due to the fact that he’s twice the size of a horse the dosage wasn’t quite enough to tranquilise him but just enough to make him go on crazy mazy runs in daft positions.

A pal of mine does drugs testing on behalf of the fa. They regularly do random tests. He will never tell me anything due to confidentiality but drugs tests are definitely part of he game.

Remember his name is rio (Ferdinand) and he watches from the stand song

If we don’t sign a defender we’re gonna miss Bambo. As bad as our defence is I think it’s better with him in it. Just his size and presence puts a bit of doubt into attackers when going in for an header or 50/50 ball. Anderson offers nothing he’s just **** if we concede to a headed goal he’s usually the one who has been beaten to the ball.
