There is a bit of an uptick because of the bank holiday on the Friday, so the majority of the Friday/weekend deaths would be recorded on the next week when the people that do that stuff returned to work fully. It would average out later, but the normal bank holiday Monday would see deaths on the Monday recorded on the Tuesday (in the same week).

Ireland is looking to relax its restrictions - because they had 0 COVID deaths yesterday. Denmark relaxed restrictions when deaths went in single figures/day. We are trying to do it with hundreds per day. Ireland and Denmark should be ok if they keep their borders restricted. Our government are pushing us to another spike.
