There is no huge home support. Only five clubs average over 30,000, eleven average less than 20,000 and of those eleven two average less than 10,000. Plenty of tickets available.

From what I understand they still only allocate around 500 tickets to away fans regardless of the home attendance.

Probably because they know it's not worth it. I'm sure if Deportivo asked for 3,000 tickets at the Mestalla they would gate them.

As a side point, there are approximately 33,000 empty seats at the nou camp each week. That's bigger than Bramall Lane.

spain is a big place,i've been all over on the bike and trust me it is big.Madrid is on the top of a huge plateu and experiences some severe weather, boiling in the summer and freezing in the winter, going to places like bilbao would mean negotiating the picos mountain range, not easy in the winter. There are mountains in spain that make the highlands of scotland look like molehills, its a fantastic place to go on a motorbike but travelling round it just to go to football matches takes a bit of effort, time and of course money.
