We have problems

Left wing is neither good for McCann (too slow) or Howard (who drifts about) . Heck wasn't responsible for all three. Maybe shared the first with Colgon, who could have come out and kicked into touch. Another down to Togwell, losing the ball. Our central defence (Reid) not marking. It's a team game, and you can't put the blame on one player.

Dont need to any more as you have continually gone out of your way not to provide factual evidence why every player in the world who was any good hasnt signed for BFC.
You have yet to provide fact that it is the chairman who is picking the first team, signing the players and other assorted football managemnt jobs.

Not once from a personal point of view have I critised richie for signing player X as i am from the mindset all transfers are gambles.

I agree 100% but per his interview on radio sheff last night I got the impression that Davey had told them to show Huckerby onto his left foot.

To be honest the reason we lost was not down to any one individual but we were clearly out thought in the tactics department. Norwich identified our left defence as a weakness and ganged up their two best players, Huckerby and Croft on it and it paid dividends for them.

Our problem was that we didn't react tactically at all, either replacing Heckingbottom or giving him support. I was frustrated with Howard but mainly for giving the ball away, rather than the thing about him not 'doing a shift' - he did get through a lot of work in defence in the first half. Devaney was worse on the other side, but Bobby Hassell seemed to cope okay.

I think if we'd had the foresight to man-mark Huckerby with, dare I say it, someone like Antony Kay, then we'd have had a great chance of taking Norwich out as I think, him apart, we had their measure.

Looks like Norwich's dossier on us was better than ours on them this time.

if thats the case hardly reids fault then. and i agree not singling anyone out we just defended poorly. This is why we are where we are in the league just have to accept it really and try and get on with things. The points are gone and we have to look to the next ones.

 

would just like to say though

tosspot is a bit harsh. i agree fully he was poor but the lad does care and is trying his best and some of the abuse we give our own players is terrible. As long as the commitment is there i will never go to abusing players. Criticisng the faults is one thing verbal abuse is another and its shocking sometimes at oakwell

I have provided lots of facts, you just choose to ignore them. I have loads of questions for the club because what comes out of the club has totally contradicted whatpreviously came out of the club on many occasions. I don't profess to have all the answers, I just choose not to believe any old rubbish I am told.
