If we'd have signed Petr Cech...... Would he have still had to "prove himself"? Or perhaps Davey had seen Muller perform to a higher standard than Colgan in training and thought that he would be a better bet. To all Colgans defenders on here - surely you must realise that he can't catch a cross to save his life, and his distribution is average at best.
RE: Good riddance... Yes, but couldn't he help out Heinz like normal 2nd keepers do seen as though he isn't going to be taking part in the match. Anyway, has he gone yet? If not, then why?
RE: Good riddance... Aren't we all forgetting how Colgan reacted after being sent out on loan, and replaced by Ross Turnbull? I don't think he threw the dummy out't pram then did he? He came back, was second to Turnbull, and accepted it. The following season he ended up player of the season. And as someone posted before, O'Hanlon is an ex-international goalkeeper, and I would presume, is the goal-keeping coach at the club now. So he may have decided to warm up Muller. Muller is an good keeper, and so is Colgan. I think we all knew we couldn't keep them both, and it was odds on Colgan moving on at sometime during the season. Nick has realised his days are numbered here, and has decided to find another club. Good luck to him, and thanks for everything.
