Nope the media centre is going down on the bottom bit of courthouse car park.

The one up near the lamproom are council offices:

 

If the courthouse is being taken up by that

It is a bit bizarre, and was supposedly meant to be built by the company building wembley. Although I think they pulled out and we are currently trying to get somebody else.

Im not sure, but the whole cinema thing is a shambles. They wouldnt let anyone else build one cos it was in the councils plans... but never happened. I think its meant to be lumped into the markets project and be somewhere near there. Hope they put plenty of free parking in for the cinema otherwise it will fail miserably.

We must be the biggest town in the country without a decent multiplex style cinema.

If the council are intent on selling off unused Barnsley FC land then they should use that area for a cinema etc, it would benefit the club and the towns people rather than just building a few houses that will benefit maye 200 people.</p>
