I don't believe in punishing people. I believe in rehabilitating people. I don't understand what can possibly be gained from punishing people. I'm also aware that some people are dangerous. Those people need separating from society in what we call a prison. Not to punish them, but to protect other people. As such, they wouldn't be serving a sentence of punishment, no 'serve your time and you're out', they would remain incarcerated until experts in the field deemed that they no longer pose a risk to the public. If the risk remains then they remain separated from society. This woman is not a danger to the public. Our resources would be far better spent giving her the opportunity to help others with any skills she may have. Nothing will be achieved by locking her up.
