Paul Wilkinson away shirt from promotion season, programmes from 84 to 05, Wilsons old training shorts from 97/98, Mike Sheron's AstroTurf boots and Shez's old s punk rag from back of the West.
I have the usuals - dozens of shirts, hundreds of programmes etc - but my favourites are my photos/autographs. When I was 9/10 my Dad used to take me early to games, and as such used to meet all the players. Just happened to be our promotion winning squad of '97 - so I have photos of me with almost everyone from that season, and autographs too; including personalised 'To Jason' from Danny Wilson (who even invited me and my Dad into his office - again, photos to prove this) and Super Johnny Hendrie, made my day when they asked who they wanted the autographs making out to. Also got a signed squad photo from that season as a birthday present a few years back and numerous other framed prints/photos etc. I'm also in a programme - Palace at home in the Prem season - I did the half time penalty shoot out - so I have a few copies of that
I had a fab large photo of the 78-79 promotion team, signed by all the team and Clarkey. I say had, I still have it, but i had it in a frame and the years have taken their toll on it, so most of the autographs are now faded and barely visible. I have one from 1981 too. That's a smaller photo, but this time the team all signed it on the back, so the autographs are fine on that one. I still have my 'stars' home shirt from the late 80s, amongst a couple of dozen Reds shirts. In fact, I bought my daughter one of the retro home shorts that was in the sale section of the club shop a couple of weeks ago, but it never dawned on me that I still have my original version of that shirt from 1984 or whichever season it was which would probably have fit her! Anyway, back on to the stars shirt, I stumbled across this bloke selling subbuteo players on eBay, that he puts on a little plinth inside a clear plastic dome, so it's a nice little ornament to shove on my shelf, alongside my lego Batman figures, James Bond cars, zombie toys and all the other junk that's cluttering my shelves. On the item page on eBay the bloke advertised that he'd do any kit that you wanted, so I'm now the proud owner of a subbuteo man dressed in the worst kit in Barnsley's history! Edit: okay, so I impressed myself by managing to upload a photo for the first time, but it seems to have gone a little topsy turvy in the process!
Gorra few bits. Must have every cigarette card that's been issued Barnsley wise. Daring back to early 1900's onwards. Loads of other cards, cuttings, team pics, etc The Green Un 'newspaper' ad stating GLORY DAY FOR REDS after Bradford game. Think it's a one off. Also bricks from the old Ponty End and Brewery (yes sad I know but they med a brill BBQ) Loads of shirts, and footage of rare BFC games.
Martin bullock's long sleeve millennium season shirt. Ipswich Town football signed by our lads at an away game circa 1999. A sheet of Oakwell letter headed paper signed by Alan Clarke and his 1986 team. Some dead grass from the pitch the day we went up to the Premier. Premier shirt with FA Premier League lions on the sleeves. Pretty much every home shirt from 1984 until 2002, and a few thereafter. Includes the infamous David Currie stars shirt. Letters written to me by Dave Bassett during the playoff season. Scarves and flags from Wembley and Cardiff. An official club photo that I got into sitting on the terrace fencing at Oxford last day of the great promotion season. My dad has two limited edition prints of paintings of Oakwell (first one Newcastle United getting beaten 1-0 in 1981, the second Blackburn Rovers getting beaten 5-1 in 1998) - they're quite nice. I also have several video compilations that I put together after we won the Cardiff playoff final. Oh and loads of Newspapers from the day after we beat Bradford to go to the Premier. Oh, and the copy of the Chron from when the East Stand was first revealed in an artists illustration in the early 1990s.
I've got all programes from the promotion and premier league seasons home and away too but thats it not bothered collecting stuff since i got old enough for the pubs in 98 too much messing about
i have every matchday program since 2006 (about 4 away programs included) and every home shirt from 2006
