We know Conway won't talk to us, probably never will again. The CEO tells us he's 99.9% running the club and now even he appears to have gone mute.
No statement whatsoever since relegation, no update on the new coach search (if there even is one), nothing.

But that doesn't explain WHY they approached other clubs. I think they've acknowledged that they did haven't they? Why did they do it?

    I'm gunna guess on this.

The CEO has mentioned a few times that a review will be done at the END of the season.

It wouldn't be my preference as it's not very agile in being able to respond to day to day and pressing needs.

But he said a few times that a review will be taken at the end of the season.

As the season ended just a few days ago, they are probably still wading through a ton of **** before they even start to review.

So based purely on his comments, I don't expect to hear anything for a while.

I'm all for a review, but it needs to be ongoing, and more agile than it is.

Fair Do's have an all encompassing review at the end, but an ongoing priority list needs to be put in place.

Sadly I don't think they know how to plan for a morning $h1t never mind the magnitude of the problems they have now

I agree with you on the last part - the lack of communication is awful. But that's got nothing to do with softly softly.

Because they've been, at different times, in dispute with the council around some of the terms of the current lease. In the event a new lease can't be agreed, they've tested the water locally around ground sharing. In my opinion pure posturing from Paul Conway in an attempt to flex his muscles without any real substance, but they have explained why.

Unless the lease is contracted out of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (which is unlikely) then the club will have the right to a new lease at a fair rent to be determined by the Court if the parties cannot agree.

The Council could oppose the grant of a new lease on a limited number of specific grounds (most relevant being an intention to redevelop) but again this seems unlikely.

Like I said, I'm not sharing an opinion on the answer and just clarifying that we have been updated on it. It's one of the things that annoyed me the most personally.

Absolute rubbish. There are people with opinion A online and people with opinion B. Exactly the same as at Oakwell. Exactly the same as at away games. Exactly the same as other clubs.
Folk I sit around at Oakwell - I have got to know their humour, anger, little mannerisms. - sometimes when I am bored (it's happened a lot this season) - I try to place them to people I 'know' from here or Twitter.

And I'm not exactly new to Socail Media, and certainly not to live matches!!

Yeah, I guess I knew, like everyone why they were doing it. The fact is that itshows a willingness to play divisive and reckless games with the fabric and identity of the club. It was and is bang out of order and the fact that they seem to have actually contacted other clubs rather than just threatening it is even more unacceptable.

Wholeheartedly agree. Poor behaviour and something else that leads back to one individual - but I don't want to be seen as just focusing on him again - so I'll add that the comms for the West Stand closure were extremely poor and should have been handled much better. As per article pushed out by BFCST at the time.

    Online is always extreme

It's like this with everything from politics to Gaming. Take Fifa the online gaming franchise from EA Sports. Online you will see everyone saying we want X Y or Z. The fans that aren't extreme and won't put anything online (the 99% quite often) don't care about that or want something totally different.

In general, people think a certain way or more importantly think everyone thinks a certain way because they only ever talk to people that think the same way as they do.

I'm same in the heat of the moment but I very quickly calm down and try and look at things from others views. I slam the media team to someone on this forum and I've done that because I forget that I fit into less than 1% of the fan base with some things.

So really what you are admitting is people ARE the same in real life and online?

    So we are sorted.

Joking aside. I think you hit nail on head mate. I've been a bit quiet recently because other posters sum up my own feelings :).

Not like you to be backwards at coming forwards. I'd give the laminator a rest and concentrate on the footy. :) And fill that survey in!
