    FPW were a pyramid scheme IIRC

    Dodgy financial company that got shut down by the Office of Fair Trading before the start of the season.</p>

    EDIT - nope - must be wrong on that. Looking closely at that pic I can see something about Frequency Programming. The dodgy pyramid scheme firm who sponsored us for all of two seconds was about that time though.

    Ran from offices in Elsecar, maybe from the pit workshops (heritage site) - We never played a game with their sponsor logo on the shirts as there was some inquest/problem with their whole set up as I remember. it was reported at the time that it was based mainly on the notion of 'pyramid' selling - get rich quick schemes etc.</p>

    Anyway, it never materialised, we played a few games sans sponsor and then ORA stepped in.
