They've been really poor with the ball aside from the (likely offside) goal. We are struggling to create any decent opportunities though.

 

They look like well-drilled, seasoned pros against our rag-tag collection of triers. Just enough of the dark arts about them and a centre-half we'll not get past if we played all night.

We were marginally the better team there but the quality of both sets of strikers has shone through.

Why kick it long and not play Cosgrove? It's almost brain dead tactics hoping Cole is going to win a chance header against a dominant centre back in Santos.

we've played reasonably well although we havn't had a single shot on target. And most of the hoof balls aren't even staying on the pitch. They have been absolute ***** other than the goal

 

That half typified our squad and season for me. We have a competent midfield sandwiched inbetween a lightweight forward line and a haphazard back line. The gaps between our thirds in both attack and defence are too large, and we're too ponderous on the attack, there'll be a chance for a quick break and the player will stop and play it square.

By the way, we've been far from terrible, we just don't have a great deal of quality. You can't blame the players for being poor, you have to look at the recruitment.

Anyway, all that said, we can get a goal here 100%

I don't think they are in second gear. I think they are as bad as us, in fact the quality of their passing has been worse, save one moment of good football which led to the goal.

It's very cagey but we need to be better in the final third as we look clueless once there and the torrid long balls and lofty balls into the box have been very poor.

 

Jordan Williams at side of him has played 73 championship games including a championship play off semi
