The only time I would describe him as a murderer,as others have done, is if he had driven with intent to kill. It is an awful and regretful situation but the law says he has done his time and paid the penalty. the offence was in the extreme but I try to remember that we all live in greenhouses except that we don't generally go around killing people with our vehicles.

I agree with baskerville. He served his time (maybe it wasn't enough) and he's helping out in the community (doesn't make up for it) but he knows he's done wrong.

If you climb into a car pissed, anything that happens from that point on cannot be classed as an accident, he made the decision willingly knowing what carnage he could ultimately cause. Therefore my belief is that anyone in that position should be charged with murder.
