Hey Kendra kid lol, Ive nicked this thread-idea and posted it on ours as well (and yes Ive given you credit for it lol). Wow 1979 ehh, I weren't even a Tykes fan then at the time, and there in't much I can remember about it as an 8 year old. But from what Ive heard, Clarkie was amazing in how he transformed the club that season, and the summer of '78 will go down very popularly when we look back at former manager appointments. Yes first game after winter break played at end of February against Stockport 4-1 up with 10 minutes left then a dramatic fightback and a Les Bradd hat trick produced a 4-4 draw
