They have matched us. Stood up to the physical challenge, and still managed to get the ball down. If we keep doing what we’re doing we’ll keep getting the same result. The onus is on us to change it round. We can play with intensity AND with the ball. Trust the players. We’re far more than a bunch of northern oiks who run around a lot.
That’s what I call a half of two thirds. I think we’re doing okay in two thirds of the pitch, and absolutely pony in final third. Prepare for changes.
Swansea really are a bogey team for us. The fans deserve a goal at least, but I fear this will be a repeat of the league game at Oakwell. They’ll get a second and then just sit back and watch us huff and puff with no success for 30 mins. Something special is needed in the second half. Come on, Reds, don’t throw it all away.
Nearly 4 hours against these this season now. Currently 5-0 and don’t seem to have much idea of how to break them down. Big 2nd half needed.
Can't fault the effort. Effort only takes you so far though. We need to add a bit of class if we can. Like they did with their goal. Crowd doing their bit. Still 75% to go.
We've mentioned a problem like Ayew but to me Lowe has been their main man. Looks really good, attack and defence. He's a worry for me 2nd half
We need to turn those centre backs and get them facing their own goal more often. At the moment everything is in front of them and they're lapping it up. Dike could come a little deeper and play off their shoulder rather than just playing high balls up to him. Morris could be key when he comes on.
It's a great finish, but Helik has three goes at get getting it completely wrong and succeeds each time.
They did it in the 2 league games as well, I don't know why we've tried it again. Desperately need to get it on the ground and try and play around them, we can do it - we've just chosen not to most games under Ismael (and tbf it has worked most of the time)
Swansea are very good at counteracting us. Masters at blocking the runner. Pace neutralising our wing backs. Unexpected shout but could Williams for Brittain be the answer? More pace.
