I really like Bazza. Seems a really nice bloke, and you can’t knock his effort and attitude - also very athletic and quick, which is a rarity in our squad. Sadly not a wing back though.
He’s been here long enough and unfortunately he can’t do the job appropriately he needs to be a winger rather than a wing back tbh.
I heard a few weeks ago something, don't know what, had gone off with him and Clarke and Clarke had spat his dummy out. I believe in discipline but not so as to effect the team
If I see him in a Barnsley shirt ever again I will well & truly lose my head. That substitute appearance was quite possibly the worst I’ve seen from a Barnsley player, ever. Take your gloves & get well and truly ****** off. The worst 20k ever spent.
Get out of Town . There were worse players on the field than Bazza ,the game was lost when he came on. We were chasing the game with 10 players .
No chance. Worst cameo appearance ever, gave the ball away for their corner resulting in the 2nd & started with those daft ******* step-overs again…
And yet he's still in second place in the BBS Player of The Season standings, despite hardly having had a look-in recently. It's a mystery.
You see my point though, @Scott. How can someone be rated so highly by broad consensus and also be "The worst 20k ever spent"? Something's out of whack somewhere.
He did give the ball away which resulted in the corner but the smallest little ***** on the pitch managed to header it home. We defended it awfully.
How long was he on . Look at some who played 90 minutes . Jesus , he wasn't the worst . Or I guess you don't like or rate him. He is not the best , by a long stretch . He is a good lad as pace and as potential, and is far better than you ratehim. I bet your 5 a side skills are outstanding. Or is it play station ?
He was pretty awful today. The “clearance” that led to the corner for their goal was embarrassing. At the start of the season, he was starting to change my opinion. Even though his defensive side was still a big worry, he was offering a lot more going forward. Now I’m not really bothered if he leaves in January. Lofthouse too. 3 right wing backs at the club and none of them can consistently perform.
This 100%. He’s worked hard and improved, but he’s L2 at best. Today’s game highlighted he’s just not good enough. Not the lad’s fault - is just where he’s at. If these betting allegations are true, then that’s also a reason for him to go too. No loss for me, but wish him well.
Not really fond of Okeefe but he is way better than Cotter. Enjoyed the game today, but not sure why he subbed McCarthy. Surely he would have been there to defend the area where the winner came from but I need to see a replay to back that up.
I think O'Keeffe is far better than Cotter. He's made some good forward forays, has shown decent dribbling skills and has put some good crosses over. He's not consistently good, but, overall, I think he's playing okay and better than he was last season.
