If Cotter was on a disciplinary over an off the field matter, particularly something as serious as suggested in this thread, I wouldn't have thought we'd be seeing him at all. But he keeps getting the odd chance, like today. Maybe the fall out was due to the coaching team expecting a lot more from him. I'd completely given up on him before this season. I thought he was miles off the required quality. But he started the season a much better player. Then his defensive weaknesses began to show again and I wasn't surprised at all when he was dropped. I've seen nothing that suggests he should be brought back into the side in his appearances since then.
What about philos Reckless tackle when already on a yellow card. Cotter came on down to 10 ,judge him or any other sub coming on on a level playing field.
