He used his influence with the FA in the Morgan/Hume incident, without him Morgan would have got away with it....oh, hold on!
Something that can be asked when this Q&A happens. I'd be intrigued to know as well what his contacts in the game bring to us.
Am I right in my understanding that on FA issues relating to BFC he isn't allowed to vote or really have any say? If that is the case (im sure I read that it was) then I believe him being on our board does harm us because we lose out. Whilst donny, rotherham and the two dee dars have a local representative we have nobody. Prime example: Morgan.
He is a freeloader of the worst kind. Contributes nothing to the club, or the game. Only in it for the free lunches (and tens of thousands of pounds of hospitality in the name of BFC and the FA)
He joined the Barnsley board of directors the same day John Dennis did after Geoff Buckle and co wanted to bring in some new blood to the board which was a long time ago! He's also been vice-chairman in that time. Judging by the number of references to him in the John Dennis book, which Ive just been reading on my holidays (great read by the way!), I would say he was heavily involved in those days so there must be a certain amount of experience he brings with him to the role as well as the contacts.
