BBC hit all time BFC low

He did plenty down the line but didn't get many to get it in the box. We aren't going OTT on using them, there were a few from the left he could have launched but we didn't ask him to go over to take them. Use em sparingly, the surprise factor. He had a decent all round game too, handled Carroll well despite being half as quick. Good signing for me is Delap, bags of experience, years in the top flight, he is a PL player.

 

Nice to hear after the scaremongering of us becoming Stoke overnight, also nice to hear he has hit the ground running.

 

Harry Gration tweeted our comeback is the best footballing story around at the moment.

I've put a complaint in to the BBC because I am sick and tired of shoddy reporting about us just because we are "only Barnsley". It is not on and I will complain every time they get stuff wrong from now on, I know I'm likely to be shrugged off but I'm fed up of these arrogant BBC sport people thinking they can get away with this- we're a CHAMPIONSHIP team even if they don't want us there and we deserve as much respect as any other team.

 

I couldn't agree more, I find the national press inability to tell us and Burnley apart highly amusing, but when the BBC can't even be bothered to get the voice over right on our game, and our game only I think they need to be told it's out of order. Would that happen to Leeds or Leicester? No chance.

 

Technical problems can and do occur but they could have apologised and offered some kind of explanation. It was a disgrace to just transmit the highlights with no sound and hope that no-one would notice.

It was shabby to say the least, and probably down to a bit of audio media going offline in the edit, but the show's not made by BBC Sport. IMG Media are the culprits.

 

Am I the only one who couldn't care less? I saw the goals, that's all im bothered about, it puts me on until i can watch some of the match on player tomorrow morning.

I know that our nickname isn't the Robins, i know we're not Burnley and I certainly dont need anyone to tell me who scored our goals, so if they want to get it wrong then they can for all i care, i won't lose sleep over it.

I have that West Ham game recorded and Barry Davies was very complimentary about us and made some fantastic points. He also practically came in his pants when we scored too. There was a Football Focus feature that same day, which was a parody of Barnsley/Brazil, with lots of terrace houses, stray dogs etc. It has a hovis soundtrack which goes into a samba with scratch of the record! It was winding up the stereo-type. I've got that too and tons more stuff.

 

I got sky specially for that year.

Every time we were on I felt like that little lad being patted on the head and told to behave while the big boys played...ba$tards.
