    I’m afraid that 24 hour news and news debate programs like Fox in the US plus the internet have really accelerated it’s mission creep into opinion news. It should be there to report the news, not set an agenda or be the tool of propaganda. I first lost respect after the reporting of the miners strike, which showed that when the government needed its side of the story to be reported that’s what the bbc will do.
